SCUBA

I've have been teaching scuba diving for almost 20 years now, either as an employee in a diving program or dive shop, or as an independent contractor. My credentials include:

YMCA Gold Star Instructor
CMAS Two Star Instructor
PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer
American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
American Red Cross Lifeguard
Specialty Instructor Ratings for Rescue, Nitrox, Cavern, Equipment Service, Dry Suit, DPV, Deep Diving, and others....
NACD and NSS-CDS Full Cave Diver
PSI Certified Visual Tank Inspector

Currently I am teaching in the New Jersey area, but am available for hire in other parts of the world on a limited basis.

Note to my former YMCA Scuba students: YMCA of the USA has discontinued their scuba certification program as of December 31, 2008. Your certification that you earned however, is still valid with no expiration date. You can still go diving, and you can still sign up through scuba classes with another certifying agency.

When YMCA discontinued their scuba program, many of those scuba instructors formed their own certifiying agency - Scuba Educators International (S.E.I.) Just like the YMCA program was, they are the only certification agency in the US that can offer CMAS certifications. They also issue replacement certification cards to former YMCA students. If you need a replacement card, contact them at www.seidiving.org.
